Ng Bee is a graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts of Singapore. He also furthered his studies in art in Paris. Presently he is the President of the Sasaran Art Association.

Ng pursues the idealism of “Man and Nature” in his artworks. He grew up in a forest and trees seem to be of his chosen subjects of painting. His favourite subject is “God of the Forest!”

Through decades of life as an artist, Ng pays special attention to protection of the environment. Through his artworks, he hopes to create awareness among the people about the importance of preserving the natural environment, especially the forests.

Ng reckons that an artist should be practical and continue enriching himself through reading, thinking and painting. One has to work hard to become a fine artist. His artworks, whether landscapes, portraits or abstracts, all exhibit his own “Ng Bee” style.

The artist hopes that more people would come to know and appreciate art. He has organised several art camps in his village and hopes to organise an art festival on a bigger scale. He has also brought several international artists to Sasaran fishing village to interact with the villagers and general public.

Ng does not confine himself in his own world of art, but also leads the general public to involve themselves in creating art in Sasaran fishing village.

画家黄美，新加坡南洋美专毕业，后赴法国巴黎求艺。现为雪兰莪傻傻然艺术学会会长。

黄美的艺术创作，追求“天人合一”。这可追溯到童年时期，他从小在树林中成长，树，似乎就是他孤单时倾诉的对象，因此对树有一份特别深厚的情感。“森林之神”是他最喜爱的题材。

数十年的创作生涯中，环保课题是他所关注的。他希望透过画，提醒人们青葱环境和保存树林的重要。

黄美认为，一个绘画的人，勿抄捷径，脚踏实地，多读多想多画，才能尽显一个画家的修养和功力。他的坚持和努力不懈，造就了他这样一个位优秀的画家。他的作品，不论是风景、人物或是抽象，都以画笔描上千条线万条线，形成独创的“黄美”风格。

画家从事绘画创作，也希望更多人认识艺术，找到绘画的乐趣。黄美在几次的国际艺术营之中得到启示，决意在自己的家乡，举办大型的艺术节。他带了无数国际画家，来到故乡沙沙然渔村，引导村民和公众参与艺术活动。

他不只让自己快乐地遨游在艺术的海洋中，也带领群众，从沙沙然这个小渔村开始，游向浩瀚的艺术大海洋。
